General ledger: entries post themselves
ProblemSales, purchases, collections and payments were entered once in the ERP and again in the accounting software.
SolutionInvoices, collections, payments and cash records create their own journal entries. Sub-ledgers, trial balance, customer and supplier balances with ageing, the VAT return summary with its offset entry, and month-end exchange-difference entries are calculated from the ledger.
Migrating from Luca
ProblemStock cards in the accounting software (Luca, widely used in Turkey) did not match the products in the ERP; codes and names were scattered.
SolutionLuca invoice and stock card reports are imported and matched to products via invoice history and name similarity. Products without a card get a code proposal in Luca’s scheme and an import file. Provable is preparing to move its bookkeeping from Luca to the Manufio ledger on 1 January 2027.
Collection sheet and card terminals
ProblemCash and card payments collected by sales staff, plus their expenses, stayed on a paper sheet.
SolutionThe sheet records cash and card collections, expenses and bank deposits; entries are never edited, cancellations post a reversal. Card terminal settlements to the bank are split into gross, commission and net, and no VAT is deducted on undocumented expenses.

Company car expenses: non-deductible share split automatically
ProblemUnder Turkish tax rules part of a company car expense is non-deductible (KKEG), and that share was split out by hand on every entry.
SolutionOnce an expense is marked “company car”, amount and VAT are split automatically between the non-deductible account and the expense account using the configured rate (30% by default). Special consumption tax on sales invoices is calculated by the same single formula.
E-invoice sales analysis and intercompany margin
ProblemWithin the group, the margin between the manufacturer’s selling price and the exporting company’s selling price was invisible.
SolutionE-invoice XML files are uploaded and sales are analysed by company, customer and product. Intercompany and external selling prices are compared per product at a common exchange rate, lowest margin first.
